Samrushta | dual constitution
Individuals with a single dominant Dosha are fortunate in the sense that once they are aware of it, they can simply follow the diet and lifestyle that suit their constitution, avoid or treat their imbalances accordingly.
People with dual constitutions; a combination of two dominant Doshas, have ‘clashing’ personalities. One dosha will predominate under certain circumstances, while the other under different conditions. Therefore, it is more difficult to maintain Samsrushta, or a dual constitution in a balanced state, as we strive to balance the requirements of dissimilar Doshas. Most individuals are dual in the constitution, and can be either one of the six combinations; Vata Pitta, Pitta Vata, Pitta Kapha, Kapha Pitta, Vata Kapha, and Kapha Vata.
Samadosha | tridoshic
It is rare to come across ‘Samadosha’ or Tridosha individuals. They are those with a combination of all three doshas in equal proportions – Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. They are also the hardest to describe or identify. They are the most balanced with a tendency to live a long life, are blessed with good health and immunity. However, Tridoshic types are the most difficult to treat when they do get out of balance.
