Milk of any variety is considered an effective transporter of herbs into the tissues, and that is due to its fat content and its uniqueness in that it is a creamy, somewhat heavy liquid. Therefore, in Ayurveda, it is common to take herbs in the form of a milky beverage. Cow’s milk, almond milk, and coconut milk are sweet in taste, nourishing and have a cooling effect in the body.
Rose & cardamom are considered aphrodisiacs; they ignite love, passion and open up the heart. They are also very balancing for Pitta, they reduce heat and refresh the body and mind.

Serves 1

Ingredients:
1/4 cup coconut milk
3/4 cup water
1/2 tsp cardamom powder (or pods)
6-7 fresh or dried rose petals
A pinch of nutmeg
1 tsp raw honey (optional)
