Kapha bodies have well-formed, curvaceous frames. Their bone structure is strong and well developed. They tend to gain weight easily and have a hard time losing it. A female naturally becomes Kapha dominant during pregnancy. From a Western standpoint, Kapha resembles the shape of an ‘Endomorph’.
face
Kapha faces tend to be round in shape and have very attractive features. Their mouths are full, with juicy, luscious lips. Their teeth are large, straight, white, and strong. Their gums are healthy and rosy in color. The eyes of a Kapha person are calm and big, with bright whites and a glow to them. Their eyelashes are long and thick.
hair, skin & nails
The hair of a Kapha person is wavy, soft, oily, thick, strong, and voluminous. Their skin is soft, oily, plump, cool to touch, and pale in color. Sweating is a common Kapha tendency, especially if they’re in damp, wet conditions. They are more sensitive to humidity than they are to heat. The nails of a Kapha are strong, shiny, and grow fast.

Kapha people’s speech is slow and calm. Their voice is soft, pleasing, deep, and can sound monotonous at times. They tend to have amazing singing abilities.
activity
Kaphas are slow movers and tend towards laziness. Their stamina is naturally high, but they are not particularly motivated or like to initiate movement. A Kapha’s room is not the most organized or tidy because of this reason, and they are those who open a book and fall asleep before they finish reading a single page.
mind
A Kapha mind is grounded, calm, stable, slow, and conserved. They are loyal, kind, patient, truthful, and compassionate. Kaphas are nurturers, naturally selfless, loving, friendly, and caring. They show affection to others and are great friends and helpers. Their thoughts are often good and positive. Their moods are steady, stable and relatively consistent, and unchanging. Kapha’s have regular menstrual cycles with minimal mental, emotional and physical premenstrual symptoms.
memory, sleep & dreams
Kapha people have good long-term memory but are slow to learn and memorize. Their sleep is deep, heavy, and usually lasts for longer than 8 hours. They rarely remember their dreams, but when they do, it is not vivid and tends to involve water sources or romance.
digestion & appetite
A Kapha person’s appetite is regular and stable, but their metabolism is sluggish. They tend to experience heaviness after meals, and it takes them a while to fully digest their food due to low digestive fire, hence why, they are able to skip meals relatively easily. They also like to follow an eating routine and tend to have their meals at regular times. Kaphas don’t feel thirsty often and tend not to drink much water throughout the day.

Kapha types are grounded and relaxed. Their moods are stable and they are emotionally sound and collected. The temperament of a Kapha person is cool, they have patients and high tolerance towards others, and their reaction is not impulsive.
